PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of setting an usage limit such as turning off or muting of incoming sound for mobile telephone according to location or situation, and also capable of switching the setting of the usage limit automatically without special consciousness of mobile telephone owner for the setting. SOLUTION: In a system of usage limit for mobile telephone limiting the usage of mobile telephone set, the telephone set has a calling mode automatic switching means capable of switching automatically an incoming sound calling mode and a vibration calling mode by an outside signal. The system is set at a gate of an area where the usage limit for the mobile telephone set, and also has a switching signal generating means transmitting a calling mode switching signal capable of switching the calling mode to the telephone set passing through the gate.
