PURPOSE: A design and a manufacturing method of an active multiple beam antenna is simplified by employing all amplifiers identical to each other for the antenna for mass production. CONSTITUTION: A feed array (11) having a plurality of antenna elements supplies RF energy to a microwave lens (13). The microwave lens (13) is placed in the vicinity of a feed array (11) and weakly converges the RF energy emitted from the feed array (11). An amplifier array (20) (or grid amplifiers) is placed to a position with the microwave lens (13) in between with respect to the feed array (11). The feed array (11) emits the RF energy to the amplifier array (20) (or grid amplifiers) via the microwave lens (13). The amplifier array (20) (or grid amplifiers) amplifies the weakly converged RF signals without changing their propagation direction resulting in creating a strong multiple beam in a remote field.
