PURPOSE: To obtain a good and stable passing property by suppressing a mutual adverse effect of tension variance, etc., of a metal plate between an inlet side section, an outlet side section and a rolling mill, in a steel process line control device which is arranged with a pickling bath to a rolling mill inlet side and a looper to an outlet side and in which a metal plate is continuously passed and treated. CONSTITUTION: Bridle rolls 14, 15 at front/back of a rolling mill 13 and the rolling mill 13 are respectively arranged with motors, a speed and tension of a metal plate 18 is controlled by the respective motor, the motor control of either of the bridle rolls 14, 15 at front/back of the rolling mill 13 is applied to the speed control to keep a motor rotation speed to a prescribed speed command value.
