<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction plate for hinges and a hinge capable of preventing sliding parts from being worn or damaged by seizure over a long period of time without lubrication. SOLUTION: The friction plate 34 for hinges has a base part 45 formed of a metallic material, and a sliding layer 46 formed of a fluororesin material containing a filler, the sliding layer 46 being formed to cover the sliding surface of the base part 45 making sliding contact with a support member 33. The hinge 21 is so formed that one of the friction plates 34 for hinges increases startup torque and sliding torque between itself and the support member 33 as the number of times of sliding movement increases, while the other of the friction plates decreases startup torque and sliding torque between itself and the support member 33 as the number of times of sliding movement increases.</p> |
