PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-accepting member which can maintain good cleaning property for a long time without splashing of a toner or melt sticking of a toner by improving the solid lubricating property of the surface of the light- accepting member to be used for an electrophotographic device and by preventing distortion or vibration of a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: The light-accepting member has a surface layer consisting of a non-single crystal carbon film containing at least hydrogen atoms and/or halogen atoms on a conductive base body. The surface layer has a diamond structure and a graphite structure in such a manner that the amount of the graphite structure increases toward the outermost surface.
