PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load simulator for a voltage-converting circuit capable of generating pseudo-AC loads, having load conditions corresponding to the desired AC loads to accurately estimate the AC loads. SOLUTION: In the voltage-converting circuit 11, a switching element switch- controlled on the basis of a pulse modulation signal intermittently leads a DC power source voltage into a rectifying circuit, converts the voltage into a DC voltage of a prescribed level, and supplies the DC volt to the load. The simulator uses the pseudo-AC loads 12, 13 and Q, having the load conditions corresponding to the desired AC loads, to assess the AC loads.
