PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound coated steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance by imparting self-repairing activity to an organic resin layer. SOLUTION: The surface of a galvanized steel sheet or an aluminum-based steel sheet is formed with a chromate film with the coating weight of chromium of 1 to 1,000 mg/m2 expressed in terms of metallic chromium, and the upper part is formed with an organic film with a film thickness of 0.1 to 5μm containing any rust preventive addition component (B) selected from (a) Ca ion-exchanged silica and phosphate, (b) Ca ion-exchanged silica, phosphate and silicon oxide, (c) a calcium compound and silicon oxide, (d) a calacium compound, phosphate and silicon oxide, (e) molybdate, (f) one or moer kinds selelcted from triazoles, thiols, tiadiazoles, tiazoles and thiurams by 1 to 100 pts.wt. (solid content) in total to 100 pts.wt. (solid content) of a film forming organic resin (A).
