PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method for a floor finishing material capable of setting the floor finishing material directly on a floor substrate without using an setting adhesive used in the past and efficiently peeling, fractionating, and recovering the used floor finishing material from the floor substrate. SOLUTION: In this setting method for the floor finishing material, the floor finishing material is mounted on a floor substrate setting surface, and the floor finishing material is fixed to the floor substrate setting surface without using the adhesive or the like by covering the peripheral end section of the floor finishing material with an opening section lower surface material fixed to the floor substrate or a baseboard surface material fixed to a wall substrate.
