PURPOSE: An average voltage of a power supply pin of an active input/output connector is regulated within specified values by supplying power through a control circuit after attaching an adapter card to a first connector, and controlling first and second switches to remote power before ejecting the adapter card. CONSTITUTION: A timing circuit (208a) is provided with output terminals to be connected with a control input terminal (202a) of a switch (202) and control input terminals (206a and 207a) of sensing voltage switches (206 and 207). After the adapter card is attached to an input/output connector (203), the timing circuit (208a) activates the switch (202) for supplying power and before ejecting the adapter card from the input/output connector (203), the switch (202) is deactivated for removing power. Then, the timing circuit (208a) delays the activation of the sensing voltage switches (206 and 207) until activating the switch (202) and delays the deactivation of the switch (202) until deactivating the sensing voltage switches (206 and 207).
