PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable grasping tool wherein a grasping member is prevented from being turned during cable grasping work and thus the workability is enhanced. SOLUTION: The cable grasping tool 10 includes a U-shaped housing 11, and tightening bolts 14a and 14b are screwed into the screw holes 13a and 13b formed in the bottom wall portion 11a and the top wail portion 11b of the housing 11. Grasping plates 15a and 15b are installed at the tips of the tightening bolts 14a and 14b independently of turning of the tightening bolts 14a and 14b. The grasping plates 15a and 15b are provided with an abutting portion 20 that is abutted against the inner side face 19 of the side wall portion 11e of the housing 11. The grasping plates 15a and 15b are brought into engaged state by the inner side face 19 and the abutting portions 20, and turning of the grasping plates 15a and 15b is thereby arrested.
