PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily operable timepiece with alarm function, capable of facilitating discrimination between time service and alarm information, and suppressing increase in switches to a minimum. SOLUTION: A time service melody or an alarm information sound is selected and set in a melody selection means 8. When the time service melody is selected, a determination means 22 validates a time service control means 18 for executing time service. If the alarm information sound is selected, the determination means 22 validates an alarm control means 20 to execute alarm information. In the case of the time service, the time service melody is made, and in the case of the alarm information, the alarm information sound comprising an electronic sound or the like is generated, to thereby enable clear discrimination between the time service and the alarm information.
