PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaked liquid sensor capable of exactly detecting leaked liquid in wide range. SOLUTION: When a detection surface 15 contacts leaked liquid L, it transmits more light from a floodlight 50 compared with the case not contacting, and so reception light quantity of a reception part 51 becomes small, which makes leaked liquid to be detected. The light transmitted from the detection surface 15 can reflect at the submerged surface F. However, the detection surface 15 is made not parallel to the submerged surface F, and so the reflection light at the submerged surface F directs to different direction from the reflection light at the detection surface 15, hence reception light quantity of the reception part 51 clearly varies with leaked liquid L. This can make stable election with a high S/N ratio.
