The alarm for a motorcycle has a housing (1) which contains a timer (7) and a relay (8) connected by a wiring bundle (2) to a key operated on-off switch, the siren (5), the movement detector (4), the battery (6) and a position sensor (9). The position sensor can be a double ball bearing operated sensor. The siren is supplied with power from the battery via the switch. The movement detector is operated when it receives a shock.
