PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small ion generator which is high in safety and the low amount of ozone generated. SOLUTION: Smoothed DC high voltage with small charge-accumulation is applied to a discharge electrode by utilizing stay capacitance as a smoothing capacitor in a high-voltage generating part.
