PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submergible motor pump enabling pumping up operation for a long period. SOLUTION: In a submergible motor pump P equipped with a suction port 2 under the casing 1, provided with an annular recessed part 3 on the casing opposing to the suction port, and horizontally mounted with an impeller 4 rotating by a motor M fixed on the casing in the annular recessed part, and comprising a peripheral pump whose discharge port is horizontally provided from the lower edge of the annular recessed part, an air discharge channel 6 whose one end is communicated with a vicinity of the upper surface of the annular recessed part and the other end is opened against the lower surface leading to the discharge pipe.
