The electric control for a bicycle derailleur has a support bracket (12) for attachment to the bicycle handlebars (14). A brake lever is mounted on the bracket for pivoting. A pair of electrical switches (24,26) to control the gear ratios are mounted on the bracket. The switches can be mounted on a plate (28) which is mounted on the bracket so that the switches can be pre-assembled on the plate before the latter is fixed on the bracket.
