PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot dip metal coating apparatus having good wettability with the coating bath, errosion resistance to of the coating bath and low friction and wearing properties by utilizing the coating bath as lubricant, and to provide a roll and bearings used in this apparatus. SOLUTION: In the hot dip metal coating apparatus having the roll rotating while being supported with the bearings in the hot dip metal coating bath composed of Al-Zn base alloy containing 15-90 wt.% Al and >=10 wt.% Zn or Al base alloy containing 5-15 wt.% Si and >=80 wt.% Al, and the roll and the bearings used in this apparatus, a sliding surface in at least one side of the shaft part of the roll and the bearings, is composed of composite ceramic containing 30-80 vol.% ZrB2. |
