PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device for a plane antenna which never affects the fitting space of a portable telephone set without deteriorating characteristics of the antenna. SOLUTION: Since a plane antenna 4, a coaxial connector 3, a feed terminal 5 and a switch terminal 6 are mounted on a printed wiring board integrally with an insulating housing, switching between the plane antenna and another coaxial line becomes possible by using irreducible transmission lines and the characteristics of the antenna is free of gradation. Further, even when the plane antenna is connected to a coaxial plug 13 by engagement, it is electrically connected to an earth shell 11 connected to a ground pattern 8 and grounded, and the circuit pattern on a printed wiring board is not used to connect the coaxial connector and a changeover switch to each other, so the mounting density of the printed wiring board is improved without having any adverse effect on signal characteristics.
