PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device, capable of simply connecting a wire without using tools such as a screwdriver and the like and moreover is capable of a connecting work by a tool, such as a screwdriver and the like. SOLUTION: In this connecting device, a movable piece 32 is formed on a fixed piece 31 via an elastically deforming part 33 and a pressing part 33. The device is equipped with a locking spring 3, formed by inserting the tip of the fixed piece 31 in the connecting hole 32a of the movable piece 32, a case 1 for store the locking spring 3, a terminal 2 disposed on the external surface of the fixed piece of the locking spring 3, a wire-inserting opening 11b formed counterposed to the movable piece 32 of the locking spring 3, and a lever 4 to press a pressing part 34 of the locking spring 3 and is so structured, that when the lever 4 is at a non-operating position, a tool-inserting opening 11c which leads to the part where the pressing part 34 of the locking spring 3 is brought into contact with the lever 4 is formed.
