The pneumatic control for a railway vehicle electric pantograph has an actuator which applies a pressure onto the pantograph head (SK) to engage it against the overhead wire with a controlled force. The force of the actuator is controlled by a circuit with a pilot (BC) generating a pilot signal (eC,Ps) on an entry value (ev,Fk) depending on the vehicle operating parameters.
