PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system to which the extension of functions and alterations can be easily made without an additional cost. SOLUTION: RISC module 1 of the computer system of the present invention characteristically comprises RISC 11, ROM 12, RAM 13, VRAM 15, a display unit 16 such as LCD 16a and CRT 16b, a companion chip 17, a RISC bus 18, a RISC bus controller 22, a I/O interface 19 having ports 19a-19h, a C/F socket 20 and a clock 21. The extension of the functions and the alterations to the computer system can be easily made thanks to the C/F socket through which an operating system (OS) and the like can be read from an external memory unit. |
