<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture image edition equipment and a moving picture image decoding method which edits a moving picture image in encoded line state without decoding and enables to edit even at a frame unit when editing a moving picture image encoded using an inter-frame encoding. SOLUTION: A moving picture image edition and decoding equipment which edits and reproduces a second moving picture image next to the first moving picture image at a specified editorial point and which is comprised of a storing and reproduction device 10 which stores and reproduces the first and second encoded lines that formed by encoding the moving picture image of the first and second using the encoding within picture and between pictures, a reference picture image storing device 20 which stores only a reference picture of the second encoded line just before the editorial point which is used for the decoding process of the second encoded line just after the editorial point and a moving picture image decoding device 17 which outputs a reproduced signal decoding the second encoded line just after the editorial point referring the reference picture image.</p> |
