PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out work in a short time, without requiring high level of expertise to smoothly perform GPS measurement work by introducing automation into each work in GPS observation. SOLUTION: In this observation support system, curtain information is produced in an observation planning stage ST1 on the basis of an obstacle observation data, and on the basis of the curtain information and observation point information DB1, mean chart information DB2 is produced according to prescribed rules. On the basis of observation condition information, the observation point information and the mean chart information, session plan information DB3 is produced according to the prescribed rules, and on the basis of GPS receiver usage condition and the session plan information, GPS receiver arrangement schedule information DB4 is produced according to the predetermined rule, and then the schedule information is transferred to the GPS receiver. In a result-forming stage ST3, baseline analysis computation is carried out, in accordance with the predetermined rule on the basis of the various plan information DB1-DB4 and GPS receiver observation data ST2.
