PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize suction-prevention of a foreign material keeping cooling capability when a motor generator is housed inside a crank pulley of an engine. SOLUTION: The motor generator M, which is housed in a ring-shaped space S that is formed between the crank pulley 9 fixed at a shaft end of a crankshaft 8 and an engine sidewall 26, consists of a stator 39 held at the engine sidewall 26 and a rotor 34 held at the internal surface of a peripheral wall 33 of the pulley 9. Air is inhaled to the ring-shaped space S from an air guide path 46 by a cooling fan 32a mounted at the sidewall 32 of the crank pulley 9, and coils 37 are cooled by the air that is made to pass through an air path 47 formed between the coils 37 adjoining each other. An entrance of an air gap g formed between the stator 39 and the rotor 34 is closed by a closing section 36a mounted at a bobbin 36 so that a foreign material shall not enter into the air gap g.
