PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to assign plural functions to one operation in a jog dial to expand its functions and to make the user instantly recognize that the device is in a jog dial mode. SOLUTION: The mode of a device is changed to match the function of a jog dial, when detecting one click turn of a jog dial in step S2 and also when a push operation is detected in the jog dial in step S3. When one click turn of the jog dial is detected in step S2, the item list of the installed application software is displayed (rancher display) in step S7. When a push operation in the jog dial is detected in step 3, the classified category of the installed application software is displayed in step 4.
