FRICTION DAMPER AND WALL BODY USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction damper inexpensive enough to adopt to a prefabricated house and reliable enough to show a stable sliding load and to sufficiently reduce noises during friction. SOLUTION: This friction damper has stainless steel plates 8 and 8 laid between a pair of first plates 6, 6 and a second plate 7. These plates are friction-joined with joint bolts 22 and 22 to constitute the friction damper so that sliding is caused between galvanized surface of the second plate 7 and the surfaces of the stainless steel plates 8 and 8 when a present or more load is applied thereto.
