PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idle step vehicle not giving a driver an unpleasant feeling. SOLUTION: A control device 40 controls an internal combustion engine stopping device 20 based on the signal from a vehicle state detecting device 50 so as to stop an internal combustion engine 10. It is thus possible for a driver, by setting the idling time on a manual timer 60, to variably set the time from the determing the idle stop mode based on the information from a vehicle state detecting device 50 by the control device 20 to the stopping of the internal combustion engine.
