ULTRAFINE SHORT FIBER FLOCK FOR STATIC FLOCKING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrafine short fiber flock for static flocking subjected to the treatment with a cooling means at a cooling treatment zone and prevented from fusing when cutting a pre-flocking and post-flocking divided type composite fiber and to provide a method for producing the flock. SOLUTION: This ultrafine short fiber flock for static flocking is formed by previously performing a pretreatment selected from that using the cooling means at the cooling treatment zone and a cooling means using a lubricant in combination, carrying out a division treatment to form the ultrafine short fiber having 0.01-1 denies fineness after cutting in a cut length of 0.1-1 mm and then performing an electrodeposition treatment. The method prevents the composite fiber from fusing in a pre-dividing flocking type cutting step of the fiber, can be industrially advantageously performed and prevents a production loss and a degradation of quality of the flocked product.
