PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate type heat pipe having a various zigzag porous state and a high heat efficiency. SOLUTION: The heat pipe 1 comprises a front plate 3, a rear plate 5 and an intermediate plate 7 connected between the plates 3 and 5. Groove patterns of the plates 3 and 5 are disposed to be entangled with each other. Holes 17 are opened at positions superposed with ends of the patterns of the plates 3 and 5 at the plate 7. Thus, the patterns 11, 11', 13 and 13' of the plates 3 and 5 communicate with each other in a vertically zigzag manner. Since heating medium passages are entangled with each other, a heat transfer between the media is expedited.
