PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which suppresses deterioration in electrostatic characteristics due to repeated use or exposure to gas and which shows excellent stability for a long time and to provide an electrophotographic method, an electrophotographic device and a process cartridge for an electrophotographic device by which stable images with little abnormal images can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive supporting body, the binder resin constituting the photosensitive layer shows such properties that after the resin is dissolved in an organic solvent not mixed with ion-exchanged water and the obtained solution is shaken with ion-exchanged water of an almost equal weight to the solution and having <=1μS/cm conductivity, the conductivity of the ion-exchanged water separated from the solution is <=2μS/cm In the electrophotographic method, the electrophotographic photoreceptor is repeatedly subjected to at least electrification, image exposure, development and transfer. The electrophotographic device and the process cartridge for the electrophotographic device have the aforementioned photoreceptor provided with at least means for electrification, image exposure, development and transfer.
