The invention concerns a device for positioning a patient, comprising a platform (1) for receiving a patient in lateral decubitus position, with legs partly bent, a support (13), transparent to radiation, for receiving a first beast of the patient in a position for irradiation by an isocentric radiation source and means (4) to keep radiation away from the patient's second breast. Said device further comprises first (2) and second (10) contention means for supporting the patient's back and a front part of her bent leg resting on the platform (1), so as to immobilise her body on the platform, in a selected reference position, capable of being reproduced.
