The injection valve has a control circuit to control an actuator that is connected to a control component and is acted on by the pressure in a control chamber. A nozzle needle connected to the control chamber can be moved according to the pressure in the control chamber, to adjust the injection valve. The actuator is used as a sensor to measure the pressure in the control chamber and obtain the operation state of the injection valve. The control circuit controls the actuator as a function of the operation state of the injection valve. An Independent claim is included for a method to control the injection valve.
