The deformation element (1 I, 1 II) has at least one passive inductive identification element (2 I,2 II) having a read-only function, provided as an integral part of the deformation element, which can only be removed by destruction of the deformation element. The identification element can be provided by a transponder or a coil linked to a reader (9) in a central unit for activating an automobile disabling and/or alarm device. An Independent claim for a documentation system for an automobile with a deformation element incorporating a passive identification element is also included.
