<p>An output stage protection circuit for power amplifiers is disclosed. The protection circuit in which currents flowing in output stage elements flow through a load resistor comprises a detection part and a control part. The detection part detects an overcurrent at the output stage, and the control part controls the currents flowing in the output stage elements in response to the detected overcurrent. The detection part includes a voltage division circuit for dividing a voltage dropped at the load resistor of the output stage, and the control part including a reference voltage generating part controls the current flowing in the output stage elements so that the divided voltage is maintained at the same level as a reference voltage by comparing the divided voltage with the reference voltage.</p> |
