Model animals of abnormal daily fluctuation in blood pressure the daily fluctuation in blood pressure of which has been reduced and a method of using the same. These model animals, which are obtained by depressing the renal function by renal artery ligation and/or renal extirpation, are usable as pathological models of hypertension, for example, non-dipper hypertension.
