Flat carbon collector for fuel pump motor, has cutting terminals pressed against carbon projections inserted into holes in metal segments

The collector includes metal segments fixed to a plastics collector body. Connection projections are formed on a carbon piece (7) that had preferably been previously fired at high temperature. The projections are inserted into holes formed in the segments to form a firm unit. Ends of cutting terminals extend from the peripheral edges of the holes to prevent removal of the projections from the holes. The cutting terminals are pressed against the peripheral surfaces of the projections. An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing a flat carbon collector.
