Metal ions removed from nutrients by cavity-creating mixer field jet array using a combination of chemical and physical processes

In a process to remove metal from nutrients, mixer field jets mobilize de-mobilized metal ions and transport the metal out of aqueous suspensions containing structured substances (solid content of the bio-suspension is between 0.5 and 15% of mass). The metal ions are removed from the bio-suspension immediately following exposure to the physical and chemical action. The mixer units generate turbulent mixing and homogenization of the fluid media employed by especially the generation of cavities. The fluids used bear a load of structured biological substances e.g. fermentation residues, suspended food industry residues, sludge from municipal or industrial waste water treatment processes. The final level of solid content in the bio-suspension is adjusted by mixing with previously recovered dry filter cake. The process is further adjusted by the shape, size, number and positioning of the mixer jets and baffle plates.
