When a current system frame number (RSFN) is received from a wireless base station controller (3), the system frame number (RSFN) is compared with a system frame number (SFN) output from a reference clock generator (11) to detect the phase difference between them. If the phase difference exceeds a given value, the voltage to voltage-controlled oscillator (19) is varied for a predetermined period to finely vary the source clock frequency of the reference clock generator (11), thereby compensating for the phase difference gradually.
