The hydraulic power coupling device has a pump line (9) and a tank line (10), with a safety valve (11) inserted in the pump line, its valve element (12) spring biased in the open direction and moved in the closure direction by a closure pressure obtained from the tank line. The valve element is acted on by equal forces in the opening and closing directions via the pressure in the pump line and the tank line in the open position.
