The transmitter has a pair of oblong outer housings (6,7), one of which is longitudinally slidable with respect to the other housing. A tube-shaped internal section (1) which is closed in one side, carries a battery (3), transmitter component (2) and a set of keys. The outer housing (6) is made of metal and the internal section is made of plastic.
