The motorcycle engine unit is suspended from a body and has a power transmission unit (8) held pivoted on the body about an axis (9). The rear wheel suspension consists of the power transmission unit, a pair of parallel arms (51a,b) located on the side of the body, and a connection member (57) for the arm ends. One of the arms forms the power transmission unit. It has an internal hollow section containing a power transmission element (49), and is divided into two parts, one arm base section (54) and one cover section (55).
