<p>A power regulation system (200) includes a first transformer (216) with a winding (218) coupled to receive an input voltage from an AC power source (210) and a movable wiper arm (228) to generate a control voltage within a range of 0 volts and the input voltage. The system (200) also includes a second transformer (232) arranged so the control voltage from the first transformer (216) is applied to the primary coil (234) and an output voltage is generated from the secondary coil (240) that is 180° out of phase from the input voltage thereby applying a voltage to a load (246) that is less than the input voltage and equals the difference between the input and output voltages resulting in reduced power consumption by the load (246).</p> |
