<p>Papermaking press fabric (40) comprises: (i) base fabric (42) woven with 10 - 100 % of the yarns of bicomponent sheath-core monofilament heat set to produce a matrix in the fabric. Also claimed are: (a) a press fabric for a papermaking machine comprising layer(s) of batt material; (b) a process to produce a press fabric; and (c) a process to produce a press fabric comprising layer(s) of batt material of 10 - 100% bicomponent material fibres.</p> |
