Adjustment process used for a rolling mill stand using positioning members to adjust the base rollers

Adjustment process comprises: (a) adjusting the base rollers (1, 2) against each other so that a roll gap (h) remains between them; (b) maintaining one (2) of the rollers in its position and moving the other roller against it until a contact force (FK) prevails in one (5) of the positioning members (5, 6); (c) moving the other positioning member (6) onto the base roller (2) around an adjustment path until a contact force prevails in it and simultaneously moving the other positioning member away from the base roller (2); and (d) moving the positioning member (5) around half of the adjustment path onto the base roller (2) and moving the other positioning member around half the adjustment path away from the other base roller.
