The optical signal transmission method uses an optical fibre transmission path (LWL), with the Stokes frequencies stimulated by the optical signal (OS) damped by at least one filter (FI) inserted in the optical transmission path, for raising the Raman threshold. An Independent claim for an optical signal transmission device is also included.
