The invention relates to a seat module comprising at least one vehicle seat having a seat bottom, via which the seat can be joined to a motor vehicle body, and comprising a transversal guide, on which the seat can be horizontally displaced in a manner that is transversal to the longitudinal direction of the seat, whereby the seat, with regard to the transversal guide, can be locked into at least one position for use. The invention provides that the seat (1) can be moved, along the transversal guide (4, 6), out of the position of use and into a position, in which the seat can be detached from said transversal guide (4, 6).
