Glassy particles containing perfume on a carrier material useful for laundry and cleaning products, and laundry and cleaning products containing these glassy particles. The particles comprise a glass derived from one or more at least partially water-soluble hydroxylic compounds, selected from polysaccharides and starches. The glassy particle also has a hygroscopicity value of less than about 80%.
