<p>The coating method has at least part of the internal surface (13) of the weapon barrel (1) provided with a coating of a mate which prevents corrosion by directing a laser beam (12) across the internal surface for temporarily melting the surface layer (1 with the coating material fed into the laser beam immediately before its incidence on the internal surface, in the form of a pow a wire or a band. The coating material is provided by niobium, molybdenum, tantalum, hafnium, chromium, vanadium, wolfram, zirconium, or an alloy of the latter.</p> |
