The invention pertains to a method of generating and/or adjusting a training schedule based on personal data and optionally on preferences of a particular user. The method involves electronically obtaining one or more parameters from and/or concerning the user during a training session preferably by means of at least one sensor, selecting and obtaining a training schedule from a database and/or adjusting an earlier selected schedule in accordance with the said obtained parameters. The database may be improved on the basis of the parameters obtained from and/or the training schedules adjusted for a plurality of users. <IMAGE>
