A roller bearing composed of inner and outer rings 11, 12 of substantially the same axial dimension, each with a curvilinear contact surface and rollers 13 of symmetrical shape disposed between the rings, wherein the contact surfaces of said rings are in contact with only a single row of rollers 13 and said rollers are inclined so that a projection of the central plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of any one of said rollers extends at an angle to a common central plane extending radially of the associated inner and outer rings 11, 12. Bearing assemblies comprising two such roller bearings, or two bearings, of which one is such a roller bearing are also claimed. |
